Simone Capuani, PhD

Simone received his PhD in Materials Science from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China/Houston Methodist Research Institute, and his MS in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. During his PhD work, he developed an implantable device for the treatment of type 1 diabetes. He is now investigating how cholinergic function is required for VNS-driven recovery of motor function after stroke.
